Main Concern: Buck teeth- upper teeth stick out past lower teeth. Difficult to close over front teeth affects appearance and creates risk of chipping, breaking or knocking out front teeth.
Clinical Summary: Severe tooth protrusion, bite off one full tooth position, mixture of baby and adult teeth (early stage of turnover process). Open bite due to lip interference. Treatment Solution: Growth modifying appliance to reduce protrusion and correct the bite along with braces just to upper-front teeth and both molars to correct the open bite and align front teeth. Full correction once all adult teeth are erupted. Treatment Time: Estimated: 18 months. Treatment was completed in 15 months. Continuing with retainer until adult teeth have adjusted adequately to resolve with braces. |
