(BRADENTON, FL) Dr. Steven Tinsworth of Bradenton was awarded Fellowship in the American College of Dentists on Oct. 6 during their annual meeting and convocation in Philadelphia, PA.
Fellowship in the College is by invitation and based on demonstrated leadership and contributions to the dental profession and society. Approximately 3.5% of dentists are Fellows of the American College of Dentists.
Dr. Tinsworth is a past president of the Southern Association of Orthodontists, the Florida Association of Orthodontists and the Manatee Dental Society. He led the health community drive for fluoridation of Manatee/Bradenton water supply.
He has served numerous positions in the American Association of Orthodontists including as a distinguished member of the House of Delegates. He served on both the Council on Orthodontic Practice and the 2004 Annual Session Planning Committee.
Dr. Tinsworth served on the AAO Insurance Company board of directors and as vice president.
